The musical odyssey of Almost Paradise began in 2016 when singer-songwriters Lance Bella and Lou Samaniego joined forces. Their music is a fusion of Rock, Reggae, Country, Calypso, and Pop, creating a soundscape that mirrors the diverse influences of their musical journey.

Lance Bella
Lance's early musical influences were grounded in a pre-synthesizer era, where he honed his skills on the organ before adding the trombone to his repertoire during grade school. Despite a hidden desire to pick up the guitar, it wasn't until later in life that Lance pursued this passion. A turning point came when he discovered a profound love for the laid-back tropical lifestyle and the charming harbor towns of Michigan. Inspired by artists like Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, and Mishka, Lance found a musical connection that resonated with his heart.
At the age of 40, driven by the desire to capture the essence of the islands, Lance took up guitar lessons and crossed paths with local artist and songwriter Lou Samaniego. Their creative synergy blossomed into their first collaborative song, setting the stage for a partnership that would define Almost Paradise.
Lou Samaniego
Lou has been playing music since the age of 10. A love of songwriting grew from learning his favorite songs. He has written songs for his rock act Rito, Chris and Lou acoustic duo, and various local artists.
He has been a performing musician for over 40 years. Playing In multiple states, everything from State fairs to local venues.
Together with Lance Bella, he has found a new joy in writing Trop Rock. This new duo is exploring the lifestyle of a fan base eager for new music.
